Sebanyak 25 guru dari jenjang SD, SMP, hingga SMA/SMK di wilayah Kecamatan Pengasih mengikuti Pelatihan Penyusunan Instrumen Asesmen Pembelajaran dengan Pendekatan Deep Learning yang dilaksanakan di Padukuhan Serut, Dukuh Serut, Kecamatan Pengasih, Kulon Progo pada 3 September 2025. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas guru dalam merancang asesmen yang relevan dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran abad ke-21.

Pelatihan menghadirkan narasumber dari kalangan akademisi yang berpengalaman dalam pengembangan pembelajaran dan asesmen. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursaban membuka sesi utama dengan materi mengenai konsep dan penerapan deep learning dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Ia menekankan pentingnya pembelajaran yang tidak hanya berfokus pada hafalan, tetapi juga mendorong keterampilan berpikir kritis, pemecahan masalah, serta kemampuan reflektif peserta didik.

Sesi berikutnya disampaikan oleh Dr. Widihastuti, M.Pd., yang membahas strategi penyusunan instrumen asesmen pendidikan. Dalam paparannya, Dr. Widihastuti menekankan bahwa asesmen berbasis deep learning harus mampu menggambarkan kemampuan siswa secara utuh, meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor.

Para narasumber lainnya turut melengkapi pelatihan dengan pemaparan materi lanjutan, termasuk teknik penyusunan rubrik penilaian, contoh-contoh instrumen autentik, serta praktik pengembangan soal berbasis proyek dan studi kasus. Peserta diberi kesempatan melakukan praktik langsung penyusunan instrumen asesmen sesuai bidang studi masing-masing dengan pendampingan para fasilitator.

A total of 25 teachers from elementary to senior high and vocational schools in Pengasih District participated in a Training on Developing Learning Assessment Instruments with a Deep Learning Approach, held in Padukuhan Serut, Pengasih, Kulon Progo, on September 3, 2025. This activity was part of a community service program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat / PkM) aimed at enhancing teachers’ capacity to design assessments aligned with 21st-century learning needs.

The training featured expert speakers from academia with extensive experience in learning and assessment development. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursaban opened the main session with a presentation on the concept and application of deep learning in teaching and learning. He emphasized the importance of fostering learning that goes beyond memorization, encouraging critical thinking, problem-solving, and students’ reflective abilities.

The next session, delivered by Dr. Widihastuti, M.Pd., discussed strategies for developing educational assessment instruments. Dr. Widihastuti highlighted that deep learning-based assessments should capture students’ abilities comprehensively, covering cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains.

Other presenters continued with advanced topics, including techniques for designing scoring rubrics, examples of authentic assessment instruments, and practices in developing project- and case-based test items. Participants also engaged in hands-on activities to create assessment instruments relevant to their respective subjects under the guidance of facilitators.

The activity coordinator expressed that this training is expected to help teachers adapt their curriculum and evaluation methods toward more in-depth learning processes. “Teachers need to continuously enhance their capacity so that the assessments they design not only measure basic knowledge but also evaluate higher-order thinking skills,” she stated.

Laboratorium Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (LEP) bekerja sama dengan Program Studi S2 dan S3 Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (PEP) baik Regular maupun PJJ, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), sukses menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Nasional Bibliometrika bertajuk “Teori, Praktik, dan Mengemasnya Menjadi Publikasi Ilmiah Bereputasi”.
Kegiatan pelatihan yang berlangsung secara daring melalui platform Zoom ini dibuka secara resmi oleh Direktur Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY, Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO. Turut hadir jajaran pimpinan Sekolah Pascasarjana, Kepala Laboratorium PEP, Koordinator Program Studi S2 dan S3 PEP baik Reguler maupun PJJ, serta diikuti oleh peserta baik dari dosen, guru, praktisi pendidikan, peneliti, dan pemerhati pendidikan serta mahasiswa S1, S2, dan S3 dari berbagai institusi di Indonesia .
Sebagai narasumber utama, Dr. Ezi Apino, M.Pd. menyampaikan materi mengenai konsep dasar bibliometrika, praktik penggunaan perangkat analisis seperti VOSviewer dan Bibliometrix, serta strategi mengemas hasil kajian menjadi artikel publikasi ilmiah bereputasi. Peserta juga diajak memahami bagaimana bibliometrika dapat memetakan tren riset, menemukan research gap, sekaligus membangun jejaring kolaborasi penelitian.
Ketua pelaksana kegiatan, Dr. Widihastuti, M.Pd., dalam laporannya menegaskan bahwa pelatihan ini dirancang untuk menjawab kebutuhan akademisi dan peneliti dalam mengoptimalkan literatur ilmiah sebagai dasar pengembangan penelitian dan publikasi. “Melalui kegiatan ini, kami berharap peserta dapat lebih percaya diri menggunakan bibliometrika untuk menulis artikel, tesis, maupun disertasi, serta berkontribusi pada ekosistem riset yang lebih kuat,” ungkapnya.

The Educational Research and Evaluation Laboratory (ERE Lab) in collaboration with the Master and Doctoral Programs in Educational Research and Evaluation (ERE), both Regular and Distance Learning, at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY), successfully held a National Bibliometrics Training entitled “Theory, Practice, and Packaging it into Reputable Scientific Publications”.
The training activity, which took place online via the Zoom platform, was officially opened by the Director of the GS UNY. The leadership team of the GS UNY, the Head of the ERE Lab, the Coordinators of the ERE Master and Doctoral Programs, both Regular and Distance Learning were actively present in that occasion. On the other hands, participants were also from lecturers, teachers, education practitioners, researchers, and education observers, as well as undergraduate, master and doctoral students from various institutions in Indonesia.
The chief of ERE Lab, Dr. Widihastuti, M.Pd., emphasized in her report that this training was designed to address the needs of academics and researchers in optimizing scientific literature as a basis for research and publication development. “Through this activity, we hope that participants will be more confident in using bibliometrics to write articles, theses, and dissertations, as well as contribute to a stronger research ecosystem,” she said.
The training, held in three series (August 20th, 24th, and 27th, 2025), was interactive. Participants' enthusiasm was evident from the many questions, discussions, and reflections on their experiences in utilizing bibliometric analysis. Not only did participants gain theoretical understanding, but they also participated in light practice with case studies of publications that were successfully published in international journals.

Yogyakarta, Agustus 2025 — Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) kembali menyelenggarakan Yudisium Periode Agustus 2025, yang diikuti oleh peserta dari periode Juni, Juli, dan Agustus 2025. Kegiatan ini menjadi momentum penting bagi para mahasiswa yang telah menuntaskan studinya di berbagai program magister dan doktor di lingkungan Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY.

Sebanyak 111 peserta mengikuti prosesi yudisium kali ini, yang terdiri atas mahasiswa dari enam program studi, yakni S2 Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (PEP) sebanyak 20 orang, S2 Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan (PTK) sebanyak 17 orang, S2 Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia Pendidikan (MSDMP) sebanyak 2 orang, S3 Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (PEP) sebanyak 24 orang, S3 Pendidikan Teknologi dan Kejuruan (PTK) sebanyak 19 orang, serta S3 Ilmu Pendidikan (IP) sebanyak 29 orang.

Acara yudisium dibuka secara resmi oleh Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., selaku Direktur Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY, yang dalam sambutannya menyampaikan apresiasi dan kebanggaan kepada seluruh peserta atas kerja keras, ketekunan, dan komitmen akademik yang telah ditunjukkan selama menempuh studi.

Sebagai perwakilan mahasiswa, Dr. Adilah Afikah turut memberikan sambutan mewakili seluruh peserta yudisium. Dalam penyampaiannya, Adilah mengungkapkan rasa syukur dan terima kasih kepada para dosen, pembimbing, serta seluruh sivitas akademika Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY yang telah memberikan dukungan selama proses studi berlangsung.

Melalui kegiatan ini, Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY kembali menegaskan komitmennya dalam mencetak lulusan yang tidak hanya unggul dalam bidang akademik, tetapi juga memiliki integritas, profesionalisme, dan kontribusi nyata bagi pengembangan pendidikan di Indonesia.

Yogyakarta, August 2025 — The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) held the Yudisium for the August 2025 period, attended by participants from the June, July, and August 2025 batches. This event marked an important milestone for students who have successfully completed their studies in various master’s and doctoral programs within the Graduate School of UNY.

A total of 111 participants took part in the yudisium, representing six study programs: Master’s in Educational Research and Evaluation (PEP) with 20 graduates, Master’s in Technology and Vocational Education (PTK) with 17 graduates, Master’s in Educational Human Resource Management (MSDMP) with 2 graduates, Doctorate in Educational Research and Evaluation (PEP) with 24 graduates, Doctorate in Technology and Vocational Education (PTK) with 19 graduates, and Doctorate in Educational Sciences (IP) with 29 graduates.

The ceremony was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., Director of the Graduate School of UNY, who in his address expressed his appreciation and pride for the graduates’ hard work, perseverance, and academic commitment throughout their studies.

Representing the graduates, Dr. Adilah Afikah delivered a speech expressing gratitude to the lecturers, supervisors, and all academic staff of the Graduate School of UNY for their support and guidance during the learning process.

Through this event, the Graduate School of UNY reaffirmed its commitment to producing graduates who excel not only academically but also uphold integrity, professionalism, and a strong dedication to contributing to the advancement of education in Indonesia.

Yogyakarta, 30 Juli 2025 — Program Studi Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) sukses menyelenggarakan kegiatan Visiting Professor Inbound bertema “Practitioner Research: Bridging Theory and Practice in Educational Settings”. Acara ini dilaksanakan secara blended (luring dan daring) pada Rabu, 30 Juli 2025, pukul 08.00–12.00 WIB, bertempat di Aula Lantai 7 Gedung Imam Barnadib UNY.

Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari penguatan akademik pada mata kuliah Isu-Isu Penelitian Evaluasi dalam Dunia Pendidikan yang diampu oleh Prof. Slamet PH, M.A., M.Ed., MLHR, M.A., Ph.D. dan menghadirkan narasumber internasional, Dr. David Hodges dari Australia, seorang spesialis di bidang Educational Development dan International Policy. Kehadiran beliau memberikan perspektif global dan pengalaman praktik yang relevan dalam menerapkan practitioner research di berbagai konteks pendidikan.

Acara dibuka secara resmi oleh Wakil Direktur Bidang Akademik, Kemahasiswaan, Riset, dan Kerja Sama Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY, Prof. Dr. Dyah Kumalasari, M.Pd., yang dalam sambutannya menekankan pentingnya membangun kerja sama internasional dan memperkuat jejaring akademik sebagai bagian dari pengembangan mutu pendidikan tinggi. “Kegiatan ini bukan hanya membuka wawasan, tetapi juga menjadi jembatan antara keilmuan dan praktik nyata di lapangan pendidikan,” ungkap beliau.

Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 187 peserta, terdiri atas 136 peserta daring melalui Zoom dan sisanya hadir secara langsung di lokasi. Peserta berasal dari kalangan mahasiswa pascasarjana, dosen, hingga praktisi pendidikan, yang antusias mengikuti materi dan berdiskusi langsung dengan narasumber.

Yogyakarta, July 30, 2025 — The Educational Research and Evaluation Study Program, Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) successfully held an Inbound Visiting Professor event with the theme “Practitioner Research: Bridging Theory and Practice in Educational Settings”. The event was held in a blended format (offline and online) on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Western Indonesian Time, at the 7th Floor Hall of the Imam Barnadib Building, GS UNY.

This activity was part of academic strengthening in the course Issues of Evaluation Research Issues in the Educational Field, taught by Prof. Slamet PH, M.A., M.Ed., MLHR, M.A., Ph.D It featured an international speaker, Dr. David Hodges from Australia, a specialist in Educational Development and International Policy. His presence provided a global perspective and relevant practical experience in applying practitioner research across various educational contexts.

The event was officially opened by the Vice Director of Academic, Student Affairs, Research, and Cooperation at the UNY Graduate School, Prof. Dr. Dyah Kumalasari, M.Pd., who, in her speech, emphasized the importance of building international cooperation and strengthening academic networks as part of developing higher education quality. “This activity not only broadens our horizons but also bridges the gap between science and real-world practice in education,” she said.

This activity was attended by 187 participants, consisting of 136 were online participants via Zoom and the rest were attending in person at the venue. The participants came from graduate students, lecturers, to education practitioners, who enthusiastically followed the material and discussed directly with the speakers.

Laboratorium Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan berkolaborasi dengan program studi S2 dan S3 Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan, Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, kembali menyelenggarakan Webinar Series keempat pada Sabtu, 19 Juli 2025 dengan tema yang menggelitik rasa penasaran: “Riset Tanpa Melakukan Riset”.

Kegiatan ini dibuka dengan sambutan hangat dari Kepala Laboratorium Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan, Dr. Widihastuti S.Pd., M.Pd. , yang menyampaikan pentingnya terus menjembatani teori dan praktik penelitian dalam dunia Pendidikan sekaligus menyapa dan mengapresiasi seluruh peserta yang berasal dari seluruh penjuru Indonesia. Acara secara resmi dibuka oleh Wakil Direktur Bidang Perencanaan, Umum, dan Keuangan, Prof. Dr. Yudanto S.Pd.Jas., M.Pd. Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY, yang turut memberikan apresiasi atas antusiasme peserta dari berbagai penjuru Indonesia, mulai dari mahasiswa, dosen, akademisi, hingga praktisi lintas bidang.

Yang menjadi magnet utama pada webinar kali ini adalah kehadiran Kartianom, M.Pd., dosen IAIN Bone yang juga aktif meneliti dan menulis di berbagai jurnal nasional dan internasional. Dengan gaya penyampaian yang renyah namun berbobot, Kartianom, M.Pd. mengajak peserta menjelajahi pemanfaatan data sekunder—khususnya dari PISA dan World Values Survey (WVS)—sebagai alternatif cerdas untuk menghasilkan publikasi ilmiah berkualitas tanpa harus melalui proses pengumpulan data primer yang panjang dan kompleks.

Peserta tidak hanya diajak memahami konsep dan sumber data sekunder, tetapi juga diberikan panduan praktis, mulai dari cara mengunduh dataset, strategi memilih variabel, hingga langkah-langkah menyusun artikel ilmiah yang relevan dan kontekstual. Kartianom juga membagikan pendekatan ATM (Amati – Tiru – Modifikasi) sebagai strategi kreatif dalam mengembangkan publikasi berbasis data sekunder.

The Education Research and Evaluation Laboratory (ERE Lab), in collaboration with the Master and Doctoral Programs in Education Research and Evaluation at the Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, is once again hosting its fourth Webinar Series on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, with an intriguing theme: “Research Without Conducting Research.”

The event started with a warm welcome from the chief of the Education Research and Evaluation Laboratory, Dr. Widihastuti S.Pd., M.Pd. She conveyed the importance of continuing to bridge theory and research practice in the educational field while greeting and appreciating all participants from all over Indonesia. The vice Director of Planning, General Affairs, and Finance, Prof. Dr. Yudanto S.Pd.Jas., M.Pd. from the UNY Graduate School, expressed his appreciation for the participants’ enthusiasm of participants ranging from students, lecturers, academics, to practitioners from various fields.

The main agenda of this webinar was the presence of Kartianom, M.Pd.., a doctoral student of ERE study program and also a lecturer at IAIN Bone. He is active in researching and writing in various national and international journals. With a lighthearted yet substantive delivery style, Kartianom, M.Pd.., invited participants to explore the use of secondary data—particularly from PISA and the World Values Survey (WVS)—as a smart alternative for producing high-quality scientific publications without having to go through the long and complex process of collecting primary data.
