Sekolah Pascasarjana Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) telah menyelenggarakan kegiatan Yudisium Periode 27 Maret, 30 April, dan 16 Mei 2025 pada hari Jum’at, 16 Mei 2025, yang diikuti oleh 39 mahasiswa dari berbagai program studi magister dan doktor. Acara berlangsung di lingkungan SPs UNY dan dibuka secara resmi oleh Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., selaku Direktur Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY, yang menyampaikan apresiasi atas pencapaian para peserta serta dorongan untuk terus berkontribusi secara ilmiah dan sosial di masyarakat.

Perwakilan mahasiswa, Dr. Yolandaru Septiana, M.Pd., turut memberikan sambutan yang menyampaikan rasa syukur dan harapan agar para lulusan tetap menjaga semangat keilmuan dan integritas dalam berkarya. Prosesi yudisium ini juga menandai kelulusan mahasiswa yang telah menyelesaikan seluruh tahapan akademik dan administratif, termasuk beberapa di antaranya yang meraih predikat cumlaude dan summa cumlaude, sebagai bukti kualitas dan dedikasi selama menempuh pendidikan di SPs UNY. The Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (SPs UNY) held the Yudisium for the March 27, April 30, and May 16, 2025 periods on Friday, May 16, 2025, attended by 39 students from various master’s and doctoral programs. The event took place at the Graduate School of UNY and was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Siswantoyo, M.Kes., AIFO., Director of the Graduate School of UNY, who expressed his appreciation for the graduates’ achievements and encouraged them to continue contributing academically and socially to society.

Representing the graduates, Dr. Yolandaru Septiana, M.Pd., delivered a speech conveying gratitude and hope that all graduates will continue to uphold scientific enthusiasm and integrity in their future endeavors. The yudisium also marked the completion of all academic and administrative requirements for the participants, including several graduates who achieved cum laude and summa cum laude distinctions—reflecting their quality, dedication, and excellence throughout their studies at SPs UNY.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta melalui Program Studi Magister Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (PEP) menggelar workshop bertajuk Inovasi Asesmen Pembelajaran yang ditujukan bagi guru-guru di Kecamatan Pajangan, Bantul. Kegiatan ini merupakan bagian dari agenda Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam melakukan asesmen pembelajaran dengan Ketua tim dari Prof. Muhammad Nursa'ban S. Pd., M. Pd dengan Anggota Tim Dosen pengabdi yakni Dr. Ali Muhson, S.Pd, M.Pd, Dr. Risky Setiawan, S.Pd, M.Pd, Dr. Kana Hidayati, M.Pd serta tim dari mahasiswa yakni M. Rizal Fathoni, Nur Khafifah Luthfiyah, Tri Aprilianto, Izzul Kiram Suardi, dan Rina Safitri

Workshop ini dilaksanakan pada hari Selasa, 15 Oktober 2024, bertempat di SMAN 1 Pajangan. Acara dimulai dengan sambutan-sambutan oleh Ketua Tim Pengabdi, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa'ban, Lurah Guwosari yakni Bapak Masduki Rahmad Sm IP, serta Kepala SMAN 1 Pajangan, yakni Ibu Bekti Mulatsih, S. Pd., M. Pd

Acara dilanjutkan dengan Penandatanganan kerja sama antara SMAN 1 Pajangan dengan Program Studi PEP Sekolah Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta juga turut dilakukan untuk memperkuat kolaborasi dalam pengembangan pendidikan di wilayah tersebut.

Selanjutnya Sesi workshop diisi dengan berbagai materi penting yang diberikan oleh para ahli di bidang asesmen dan pendidikan. Materi pertama disampaikan oleh Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa'ban, S.Pd., M.Pd., menyampaikan materi terkait Pengantar Desain Asesmen, memberikan panduan praktis bagi guru-guru dalam merancang asesmen yang sesuai dengan standar pendidikan modern.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), through the Master’s Program in Educational Research and Evaluation (PEP), held a workshop titled “Innovative Learning Assessment” for teachers in Pajangan District, Bantul. This activity is part of the university’s Community Service (PkM) agenda aimed at enhancing teachers’ understanding and skills in conducting effective learning assessments. The program was led by Prof. Muhammad Nursa’ban, S.Pd., M.Pd., with team members Dr. Ali Muhson, S.Pd., M.Pd.; Dr. Risky Setiawan, S.Pd., M.Pd.; Dr. Kana Hidayati, M.Pd., and student assistants M. Rizal Fathoni, Nur Khafifah Luthfiyah, Tri Aprilianto, Izzul Kiram Suardi, and Rina Safitri.

The workshop took place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at SMAN 1 Pajangan. The event began with welcoming remarks from the Head of the PkM Team, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa’ban; the Head of Guwosari Village, Mr. Masduki Rahmad, S.M., I.P.; and the Principal of SMAN 1 Pajangan, Mrs. Bekti Mulatsih, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The program continued with the signing of a cooperation agreement between SMAN 1 Pajangan and the PEP Program of the Graduate School, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, strengthening collaborative efforts in advancing education in the region.

Before the main sessions began, participants took a pre-test to measure their initial understanding of assessment practices.

The workshop sessions featured essential materials delivered by experts in assessment and education. The first session, presented by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa’ban, S.Pd., M.Pd., focused on an Introduction to Assessment Design, providing teachers with practical guidelines for designing assessments aligned with modern educational standards.

After the break, the highly anticipated second session on ANBUSO (Item Analysis) Practice was delivered by Dr. Ali Muhson, S.Pd., M.Pd., accompanied by hands-on assistance from the PEP team.

Sebanyak 12 orang mahasiswa program studi Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan (PEP) SPs UNY berkesempatan mengikuti kelas langsung dan belajar terkait Asesmen bersama Dr. Nor Hasnida Che Md Ghazali, dosen Faculty of Human Development, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia. Kegiatan tersebut diadakan di Bilik Seminar Aminuddin Baki, Fakulti Pembangunan Manusia UPSI dan merupakan bagian dalam agenda kunjungan internasional UNY ke UPSI. Turut hadir pula dalam kesempatan ini Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa'ban, S.Pd., M.Pd., selaku Koorprodi S2 Penelitian dan Evaluasi Pendidikan UNY. Terselenggaranya program ini merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi kerja sama antara Sekolah Pascasarjana UNY dan UPSI dalam membangun dan memperkuat hubungan internasional antar institusi pendidikan tinggi, khususnya pada bidang Pengukuran dan Penilaian Pendidikan.

Dalam kuliahnya, Dr. Hasnida memaparkan bagaimana prinsip dan peran penting asesmen di dunia pendidikan. Beliau menambahkan bahwa saat ini prosedur asesmen yang berlaku di Malaysia dan Indonesia sudah mulai beralih dari Asesmen Tradisional ke Asesmen Alternatif. Banyak kelemahan dalam asesmen tradisional, salah satunya adalah bahwa penilaian tradisional hanya menilai kemampuan siswa dalam memberikan jawaban benar. Asesmen tradisional secara umum berfokus dalam tes soal-soal pembelajaran yang pernah dipelajari siswa, sedangkan asesmen alternatif lebih terfokus pada tes kerja nyata yang berhubungan dengan realitas kehidupan siswa.

Sesi kuliah ini juga diisi dengan diskusi secara berkelompok. Mahasiswa dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok kecil dan mendiskusikan topik Asesmen Formatif, apa maksudnya, bagaimana prosedurnya, apa kendala yang ditemui di lapangan, dan bagaimana solusi alternatif yang bisa ditawarkan. Secara bergantian perwakilan setiap kelompok mempresentasikan hasil diskusinya di depan forum.

Twelve students from the Educational Research and Evaluation (ERE) Graduate School of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (GS UNY) had the opportunity to participate in a sit-in class and learn about educational assessment with Dr. Nor Hasnida Che Md Ghazali, a lecturer from the Faculty of Human Development, Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), Malaysia.
The session took place at the Aminuddin Baki Seminar Room, Faculty of Human Development, UPSI, as part of GS UNY’s international academic visit to UPSI.
Also attending the event was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Nursa’ban, S.Pd, M.Pd., Head of the ERE Master Program at GS UNY. This activity reflects the ongoing collaboration between UNY’s Graduate School and UPSI in strengthening international academic relations, particularly in the field of Educational Measurement and Evaluation.
In her lecture, Dr. Hasnida explained the key principles and vital role of assessment in education. She highlighted that both Malaysia and Indonesia are gradually transitioning from Traditional Assessment to Alternative Assessment models. Traditional assessments, she noted, tend to focus only on measuring students’ ability to provide correct answers to test questions. In contrast, alternative assessments emphasize performance-based tasks that reflect real-life contexts and student experiences.
The class also featured small group discussions. Students were divided into three groups to explore the topic of Formative Assessment—its definition, implementation procedures, challenges in practice, and possible alternative solutions. Representatives from each group then presented their discussion outcomes to the class.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) has once again made remarkable achievements on the international stage, both academically and culturally. UNY students secured notable victories at the International Conference of Sports and Exercise Science Studies 2.0 (ICSESS 2.0) 2024, held in Malaysia. This prestigious event brought together participants from various countries, including South Korea, China, and Malaysia, with a total of 200 participants presenting 90 scientific works. Alongside UNY, Indonesia was also represented by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), and Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Notably, 25% of total participants came from UNY, demonstrating the strong presence and competence of UNY students in the fields of science and sports studies.

In this highly competitive event, three UNY students successfully advanced as finalists in multiple categories, further adding to the long list of international academic achievements by UNY. These accomplishments reaffirm UNY’s position as an outstanding educational institution committed to fostering student excellence across disciplines.

UNY achieved several major wins at ICSESS 2.0 2024, including 1st Place in the Poster Post Graduate category (Gold), awarded to Julian Dewantara, Didi Suryadi, Irvan Septianto, and Shobirotus Soraya. Their poster, titled “Combination of Massage Therapy With Heat Therapy: How Does It Affect Range of Motion in Patients With Shoulder Pain?”, offered fresh insights into physical therapy by combining massage and heat therapy—impressing the judges with its depth and relevance.

Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) kembali menorehkan prestasi gemilang di kancah internasional, baik dalam bidang akademik maupun budaya. Mahasiswa UNY berhasil meraih kemenangan dalam ajang International Conference of Sports and Exercise Science Studies 2.0 (ICSESS 2.0) 2024 yang diadakan di Malaysia. Ajang bergengsi ini diikuti oleh peserta dari berbagai negara seperti Korea Selatan, China, dan Malaysia, dengan total partisipasi mencapai 200 orang yang mempresentasikan 90 karya ilmiah. Selain UNY, Indonesia diwakili juga oleh Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), dan Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Dari total peserta, 25% di antaranya berasal dari UNY, menunjukkan dominasi dan kompetensi mahasiswa UNY di bidang sains dan ilmu keolahragaan.

Dalam kompetisi yang sangat kompetitif ini, tiga mahasiswa UNY berhasil menjadi finalis di berbagai kategori, menambah daftar panjang prestasi akademik UNY di kancah internasional. Prestasi ini semakin mempertegas posisi UNY sebagai institusi pendidikan yang unggul dalam mengembangkan potensi mahasiswanya di berbagai bidang.

In an effort to strengthen collaboration with internationally reputable universities and enrich students’ academic, research, and intercultural communication competencies, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), in partnership with Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia, organized a student exchange program. The program took place from 9–12 June 2024 at UM and 13–15 June 2024 at UPSI. A total of 39 students and 9 accompanying lecturers and administrative staff from the Graduate School (SPs), the Faculty of Sports Science and Health (FIKK), the Faculty of Education and Psychology (FIPP), the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), and the Faculty of Languages, Arts, and Culture (FBSB) participated in this program.

The program aimed to increase student and staff mobility and to develop formal cooperation documents among the collaborating institutions. As part of the exchange activities, students took part in the International Conference of Sports and Exercise Science Studies 2024 (ICSESS 2024) hosted at UM. At this conference, students presented their research in the form of papers and posters. The conference activities included workshops on research methodology, academic writing workshops, and the main conference sessions. Additionally, students had the opportunity to perform Indonesian traditional dances, participate in social activities with students from other universities, and visit various cultural and tourist destinations in Kuala Lumpur.

Dalam upaya memperkuat kolaborasi dengan universitas bereputasi di kancah internasional serta memperkaya kemampuan akademik, riset, dan komunikasi antar budaya mahasiswa, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) bekerja sama dengan Universiti Malaya (UM) dan Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) Malaysia menyelenggarakan program pertukaran mahasiswa. Program ini berlangsung pada tanggal 9-12 Juni 2024 di UM dan 13-15 Juni 2024 di UPSI. Sebanyak 39 mahasiswa dan 9 pendamping dosen serta tenaga kependidikan dari Sekolah Pascasarjana (SPs), Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan dan Kesehatan (FIKK), Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan dan Psikologi (FIPP), Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA), serta Fakultas Bahasa, Seni, dan Budaya (FBSB) turut serta dalam program ini.

Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan jumlah student and staff mobility serta menghasilkan dokumen kerja sama antara institusi yang terlibat. Sebagai bagian dari program ini, mahasiswa mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan yang dikemas dalam International Conference of Sports and Exercise Science Studies 2024 (ICSESS 2024) di UM. Dalam konferensi ini, mahasiswa berperan sebagai presenter dalam bentuk makalah dan poster penelitian. Kegiatan konferensi meliputi workshop metode penelitian, workshop penulisan akademik, dan sesi konferensi itu sendiri. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga berkesempatan menampilkan tari tradisional Indonesia, mengikuti aktivitas sosial dengan mahasiswa dari universitas lain, serta mengunjungi tempat-tempat wisata di Kuala Lumpur.
